• The whole roof deck should be applied building paper.
• When you place the first shingle, the thick should be placed in such a way that it points the ground.
• Between the shingle and its neighbour there should be a gap of 1/4inch.
• For each shingle, use two nails and it should be placed 4inch from the thick side of the shingle and one inch from the sides.
• Ensure that each of the shingle that is added fits in properly.
• Trim the excess piece in the ends.
• The second row should be installed over the first row in the same manner.
• When you reach the top, use building paper and trim the edges.
