Humidity Control in Your Home
Humidity is considered more sensitive to comfort than any other external factor. That’s why we have all sorts of tools in our houses to control it. Considering the fact there is a very narrow range between what can be considered as ideal and discomfort of it, a problem arises when setting the optimum humidity.
The humidity range of between 30-60% is considered as the best because it eliminates the effects of majority of unpleasant conditions. Here are some ways of getting the best from you humidity control efforts:
• Ventilate your entire house especially the kitchen and the bathrooms, making sure that the fans are venting directly outside.
• Use plastic to cover dirt floor to protect vapor from stinking in the house.
• Don’t dry wet clothes in the house; make sure they are dried outside.
• Fix all leaking pipes, be them water, toilets or showers pipes.
• Make sure that conditioning drip pans have absolutely no dirt.
